Security forces successfully eliminated seven terrorists during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in the Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.
As per the ISPR, the first operation took place on the night of February 8-9, 2025, in the Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan, following intelligence reports of terrorist activity.
“During the operation, our troops effectively targeted the militants’ hideout, killing three terrorists, including Kharji Rehmat, while two others sustained injuries,” the statement detailed.
In a separate operation in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, security forces engaged another terrorist group.
“During the exchange of fire, four terrorists were eliminated, while three others were injured,” the ISPR confirmed.
Sanitisation operations are currently in progress to ensure the area is completely cleared of any remaining threats.
