ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced that Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) would be celebrated on September 29, as the crescent marking the start of Rabi ul Awwal for the Islamic year 1445AH was not sighted.
The committee, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, made this decision during their meeting in Islamabad, attended by central and zonal committee members.
They assessed various moon sighting reports from different parts of the country and, with consensus, determined that Rabi ul Awal would begin on September 18 (Monday).
Eid Milad un Nabi, observed on the 12th Rabi ul Awwal, marked by public processions and events celebrating Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life.
