ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has embarked on an eight-day official visit to China, scheduled from December 8 to 15.
During the trip, she will visit Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, accompanied by a high-level delegation.
Maryam Nawaz holds the distinction of being the first Pakistani woman Chief Minister to undertake an official visit to China. Her delegation includes Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Uzma Bukhari, Bilal Akbar, and Agriculture Minister Ashiq Karmani.
The visit, initiated at the invitation of the Communist Party of China, focuses on fostering bilateral relations.
CM Maryam Nawaz will engage with Chinese ministers, senior officials, and experts in governance, agriculture, technology, and infrastructure. She will also participate in meetings, events, and conferences to explore avenues for collaboration and development.
Maryam Nawaz departed from Lahore’s Jati Umrah to the Old Airport before setting off on this significant diplomatic mission.
