Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi convened on Thursday to discuss various aspects of the country’s political landscape. During their meeting in Islamabad, they delved into matters concerning the Interior Ministry, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and the overall security situation in the country.
Among the topics highlighted was the proposed reform and restructuring plan for both the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA). Prime Minister Shehbaz underscored the importance of taking decisive action against power theft, emphasizing the need for stringent measures in this regard.
Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Kuwait during a meeting with Kuwait’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nassar Abdulrahman Jasser Almutairi. Acknowledging the enduring bond between Pakistan and Kuwait, PM Shehbaz extended gratitude for Kuwait’s support and invited the Amir of Kuwait for a visit.
PM Shehbaz also highlighted recent agreements amounting to US$10 billion between the two nations, stressing the significance of their swift implementation. Ambassador Almutairi, in turn, commended Pakistan’s support during challenging times and affirmed Kuwait’s dedication to enhancing bilateral ties.
Prime Minister Shehbaz commended Ambassador Almutairi for his efforts in bolstering Pakistan-Kuwait relations, reflecting the mutual commitment of both countries to fostering stronger diplomatic and economic cooperation.
