Jinnah Hospital
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: In Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital, a young woman reportedly leaped from the first-floor labor room on Friday.
The motive behind this incident remains unclear, but it occurred following her C-Section surgery.
The 22-year-old Sidra, hailing from Kasur, had been admitted to the Jinnah Hospital two days before the incident. Currently, she is receiving critical care in the neurosurgery ICU.
Professor Dr. Farid Zafar, the hospital’s principal, told media that Sidra initially underwent a C-section surgery.
Subsequently, another operation was necessary due to a clot being left inside her body.
Dr. Zafar further explained that there were two female attendants present with Sidra. She informed them that she needed to use the restroom before abruptly jumping from the labor room.
In response to this incident, a three-member committee has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attempted leap.

A court in Lahore awarded death sentence to a father who raped his daughter.
The judgment was delivered by Additional Session Judge Mian Shahid Javed in a case filed against the father, Rafique, back in 2019 at the Sattoo Katla police station in the capital city of Punjab.
In his written ruling, Judge Javed emphasized the role of a father as a guardian to his children. He noted that children typically turn to their fathers if they face any issues.
However, in this tragic case, the father had inflicted irreparable harm on his own daughter, causing profound emotional and psychological trauma.
During the course of the trial, the prosecution presented 11 witnesses in support of its case.
The court, after careful consideration, imposed the death penalty on the father, citing the prosecutionโs successful demonstration of guilt.
