PM Shehbaz: No Dialogue with Enemies of the Country

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the recent surge in terrorist attacks in Balochistan, pledging to eradicate terrorism and stating firmly that there will be no negotiations with those who threaten the state.

In a key cabinet meeting, Sharif expressed alarm over the recent escalation in terrorist activities, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where over 50 Pakistanis, including law enforcement officials, have lost their lives. He assured that the sacrifices made by security forces would not be in vain and reiterated the government’s steadfast commitment to combating terrorism.

Sharif highlighted that these attacks aim to undermine Pakistan’s progress and create discord between Pakistan and China. He stressed the need for national unity and declared that the government would allocate all necessary resources to the Armed Forces to tackle terrorism effectively. The Prime Minister assured that the fight against terrorism would continue until it is completely eradicated, with the Pakistani Army and the nation standing together in this endeavor.

Additionally, Sharif pointed to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as being behind the recent attacks and confirmed that Pakistan has addressed this issue with Afghanistan, taking decisive actions against the terrorists.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of cooperation with provincial governments to eliminate terrorism and ensure the safety of all citizens. He also stressed the need to understand and counter the motives of those aiming to destabilize Pakistan. While affirming the government’s readiness to engage in dialogue with those who respect the Pakistani constitution, PM Shehbaz Sharif made it clear that negotiations would not be entertained with those who are enemies of the state. He concluded by asserting that the recent events serve as a wake-up call and that Pakistan will overcome these challenges.
