A tragic suicide attack occurred in KP’s Khyber district, specifically in the Barra Bazar area on Thursday. It resulted in the martyrdom of four people including three police constables and caused injuries to ten other individuals.
The explosion took place at the front gate of the Tehsil Compound office in Barra Bazar. Gunshots were also heard in the vicinity. In response to the incident, bomb disposal squads have been deployed to ensure the safety and security of the area.
Emergency response teams and law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene to provide medical assistance to the injured and secure the area.
The injured were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment. A comprehensive investigation has been launched to identify the perpetrators behind this devastating attack. Besides this, all necessary resources are being deployed to ensure a thorough examination of the incident.
The injured were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar, said police.
During a shift change, officials at Warsak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were targeted and fired upon, enduring 17 bullets. The attackers managed to flee the scene, prompting an ongoing search operation to apprehend them.
This incident occurred just two days after a suicide blast in Peshawar’s Hayatabad area. It left eight people injured near a security forces vehicle.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has witnessed a disturbing increase in terrorism-related incidents this year. Over 146 policemen were martyred in various terrorist attacks across the region.
