Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz Conclude Foreign Tour, Return to Lahore

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif, alongside Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has returned to Lahore after completing an extended foreign tour. Nawaz’s multi-country trip, which began on October 25, included engagements in the UAE, UK, US, and Europe, focusing on political and diplomatic objectives.

Maryam Nawaz, who left for Geneva on November 7 for a medical examination concerning her parathyroid health, extended her visit with a stop in London before flying back to Lahore via a private jet.

Addressing the media before his departure from London, Nawaz Sharif dismissed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned November 24 protest as a futile attempt to destabilize the country. He questioned PTI’s achievements under Imran Khan, asserting that their tenure lacked significant developmental milestones.

Nawaz also emphasized that Pakistan is on the path to economic recovery despite persistent challenges. He accused PTI of harming national progress and reiterated the need for accountability for their actions. Furthermore, he alleged that Imran Khan, along with former military leaders General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Faiz Hameed, conspired against his government.
