Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has greenlit the Roshan Gharana Program, a significant initiative aimed at providing solar kits to households consuming up to 100 units of electricity per month. This decision, made during a meeting in Lahore chaired by CM Maryam Nawaz, underscores the government’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Under the Roshan Gharana Program, eligible households will receive a 1kv solar system complete with two solar panels, batteries, an inverter, and necessary wiring. This endeavor not only promotes renewable energy adoption but also empowers families with reliable electricity access, particularly in rural and underserved areas.

Furthermore, the meeting approved funds for a state-of-the-art computer lab at the Government College of Technology, reinforcing the government’s focus on advancing educational infrastructure. Additionally, initiatives like the International Undergraduate Scholarship and Local Scholarship Programs aim to enhance educational opportunities for deserving students.

In her inaugural address as Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz articulated her vision for the province’s development over the next five years. She emphasized the importance of devising tailored solutions to benefit consumers using less than 300 units of electricity, indicating a holistic approach to energy accessibility.

Moreover, CM Nawaz underscored the key priorities of her tenure, notably focusing on employment generation, educational enhancement, and healthcare provision. By aligning government objectives with these fundamental areas, the administration aims to foster socio-economic progress and improve the quality of life for Punjab’s residents.
