RAWALPINDI: A man has filed a complaint with the Saddar Police Station in Rawalpindi, alleging gang rape during his incarceration at Adiala Jail.
The reported incident occurred purportedly the night before his scheduled release. The victim, initially apprehended by the Shalimar Police Station on theft charges, found himself behind bars and claimed to have been subjected to sexual assault by two fellow inmates, identified as Zakirullah and Sahil, at approximately 11 pm on May 18.
According to the complaint, the victim promptly reported the distressing incident to the Deputy Jail Superintendent. Advised to bring the matter to the attention of the Jail Superintendent the following morning, he intended to do so. However, due to his impending court appearance, he was unable to meet with the Jail Superintendent and was swiftly taken to court instead. The court, upon realizing his sentence had been served, promptly released him.
Post-release, the victim wasted no time in lodging his complaint at the Saddar Police Station. The authorities have duly registered a case based on his harrowing account.
