LASBELA: Twelve people have died as a result of a gas cylinder explosion, and several others are said to be in critical condition.
The cylinder exploded while being refilled at a filling station in Lasbela’s main Bela bazaar.

According to eyewitnesses, the flames spread to other gas cylinders that were dumped in the shop and other businesses, destroying at least seven of them as well as more than two dozen motorcycles that were parked nearby.
More than two dozen people with serious burn injuries were taken right away to a hospital, where eight of them died from their injuries, local officials told the media.
Haji Omer, Barkat Ronjah, Muhammad Hayat, Muhammad Iqbal, Zahoor Ronjah, Hidaytullah, Muhammad Yaqoob, and Muhammad Yousaf were among the deceased.
25 people who had been injured in the cylinder explosion were transported to Karachi late last night; four of them passed away this morning, and 13 more were said to be in critical condition.
The incident’s cause has been the subject of an investigation, local police told the media.
