In a passionate appeal ahead of Pakistan’s 12th general elections on February 8, former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sons have taken to social media, urging their fellow citizens to cast their votes in favor of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Kasim Khan, in a post on X, emphasized the significance of the upcoming election, stating, “Tomorrow’s a huge day for Pakistan. Your vote is important. As soon as you’re able to, please post a photo or video saying ‘I voted PTI’ with the hashtag #votePTI to show your support!” The post also featured a poignant image of Kasim and Sulaiman Khan proudly holding a PTI flag.
It’s worth noting that the PTI finds itself out of the elections race as a party following the Supreme Court’s verdict on its iconic ‘bat’ election symbol. Despite these challenges, Imran Khan’s sons are actively encouraging citizens to express their support for the PTI through social media participation.
Jemima Goldsmith, Imran Khan’s former wife, echoed this sentiment by reposting the message from the Khan brothers, showcasing the image of them with the PTI flag. Imran Khan, currently incarcerated and disqualified from holding office due to a graft case conviction, continues to wield influence through the dedication of his family members.
As Pakistan anticipates this crucial electoral event, the call from Imran Khan’s sons not only reflects their commitment to the PTI but also adds a personal touch, underscoring the familial connection within the political landscape during this pivotal period.
