Imran Khan to address Nation after IHC hearing

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has called its supporters to gather in the federal capital, where former prime minister Imran Khan will address them after appearing before IHC today.

This follows the IHC’s decision to grant bail to the chairman in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

PTI tweeted on its official handle:

“Thousands of peaceful Pakistanis from across the country will gather at Srinagar Highway G-13 Islamabad this morning to express solidarity with Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.”

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had previously detained Chairman Imran Khan in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case, which sparked violent protests across the nation.

According to a tweet, Khan will address his supporters after his appearance at the court.

SC Declares Imran Khan’s Arrest at IHC Premises “Illegal”

Yesterday, Imran Khan secured a big legal success when the Supreme Court deemed his arrest on May 9th at the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to be “illegal”.

The court ordered to release the PTI Leader “immediately.”

However, rather than releasing him outright, the apex court sent Khan to the Police Lines Guest House and directed him to appear before the IHC at 11:00 am today.

Imran Khan’s Release Sparks Celebrations Among PTI Supporters

Jubilant supporters of the PTI took to the streets to celebrate the court’s ruling after NAB released Imran Khan from custody.

Former special adviser to the prime minister on youth issues Usman Dar asked party members to participate and show their respect and support for the Supreme Court.

The PTI Leader Tweeted:

“All Pakistanis, wherever they are, should come out to express solidarity and gratitude to the Supreme Court in their respective areas.”
