Google delegation reaches Pakistan
The delegation of the giant search engine Google arrived in Pakistan to meet Ameenul Haque, the minister of information technology and telecommunications.
The group will also meet with the Minister of Federal Law and the Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to discuss the initial stages of its activities in Pakistan.
Aminul Haque vowed to try and convince the group to open a Google office in Pakistan.
According to him, the opening of offices by social media firms such as Google, Facebook, and others will undoubtedly help them better understand Pakistan’s culture and religious beliefs.
These companies make significant amounts of money in Pakistan.
Google recently registered as a company in Pakistan, it should be noted.
Google introduced Career Certificates earlier in September to offer flexible learning pathways for all Pakistanis, allowing learners to advance their knowledge and acquire digital skills for in-demand jobs.
Google has reaffirmed its commitment to enabling an equitable and inclusive digital economy as part of its mission to “Unlock Pakistan’s Digital Potential” by providing 15,000 scholarships by this year through local partners IRM and Ignite, which are made up of educational institutions, business partners, and nonprofits.
