Girl drinks acid to escape sex assault

After the victim’s statement, authorities are looking for the culprits and investigating the case.

KHANPUR: In Khanpur, Punjab, a young woman allegedly took acid to protect herself from being sexually assaulted.

They say she is in critical condition and has been taken to an area hospital by the police.

She went to a food store in search of work. The police stated she was allegedly looking for work when the event transpired.

The authorities believe that a group of five people, two of whom are women, is responsible for the crime. The suspects blackmail and sexually attack girls, they coerce them into working.

There are many other females, according to the victim, who are afraid of being “dishonoured” by society if they come forward with their experiences of abuse.

After the victim’s statement, authorities are looking for the culprits and investigating the case.
