The Pakistan Community Support Project (PCSP) hosted a one-day exhibition and workshop to provide aspiring female entrepreneurs with a larger stage.
With the event, women from the project’s implementation areas were able to showcase their abilities and products, as well as make connections with government agencies and corporate institutions to improve their economic prospects. The event drew a huge crowd from a variety of backgrounds.
While speaking at the ceremony today, Planning & Development Department Director General Sohail Khan stated that 50 percent of the world’s workforce was female and that their work accounted for 66 percent of all input.
Women in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, particularly those living in the combined regions, should be given economic and income-generation possibilities so that they can participate and contribute to the rural economy’s elevation, he said. The exhibition was followed by a series of concentrated group conversations in a workshop setting, in which professionals and members of the community collaborated to share their perspectives.
