Erdogan leads with 54% votes in early results for president of Turkiye polling
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addresses a news conference during the NATO summit at the Alliance’s headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

Early results of today’s polling place Erdogan at number 1 with 54 percent votes as against 39 percent votes of his main rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

Interestingly, in the first results from the Turkish elections, President Tayyip Erdogan was way ahead with 59.47 percent votes, but later on, this margin fell to 54.6 percent. This result, however, is based on just 23 percent of the votes polled on Sunday.

But they are based on a small percentage of the vote, 9.1%. On that basis, broadcaster HaberTurk showed Erdogan in the lead with 59.47% compared to opposition rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu with 34.79%.

Erdogan is expected to win this presidential race for the third consecutive term. However, his main rival Kilicdaroglu can give him a tough time in today’s polling.
