ISLAMABAD: X, formerly known as Twitter, has made significant improvements to its ‘live videos’ feature. After testing the feature, Elon Musk commented that “live videos now work reasonably well.”
The 53-second clip shows Musk laughing and having a good time with what appears to be part of the development team at X.
Musk said, “Live videos now work reasonably well. Just tap the button that looks like a camera when you post.”
During the testing of the live streaming feature, the video quality was generally decent, but it became blurry at times when the phone was in motion.
However, when the phone stopped moving, the video quality improved significantly and looked quite good.
Elon Musk remarked that the live streaming is working well, and it is an improvement over the previous 8-bit quality they had. This reference is about the blocky and low-quality live streams they experienced in the past.
Support for comments and likes is available, but there is no mention of quality settings for live streaming.
To create a live video
Step 1: Tap the camera icon from composer.
Step 2: Select ‘Live’ from the bottom options.
Step 3: Optionally, fill in a description that will appear as a Tweet, and add a location if desired.
Step 4: Tap “Go live.”
Frustrated By Spammy DMs From Strangers? Instagram Has Your Back
Meanwhile, instagram, owned by Meta, has introduced a new update to tackle unsolicited and spammy DMs from strangers.
The photo and video-sharing application is now taking measures to reduce unwanted message requests from people you don’t follow. This update aims to improve the overall user experience and make the platform safer for everyone.
In June, the app conducted a test, and now it has implemented a new restriction for DM’ers not on your following list. They are now limited to sending just one message invite before they can start chatting with you
