Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah launched the force on Friday. Senior officials of the city’s police participated in the ceremony to launch the Dolphin Force.
After Lahore, Islamabad is the second city to have Dolphin Force.
According to Islamabad police, 800 bikes and 200 cars are part of the Dolphin Force. The teams of the force will patrol the city with the aim to give a tough time to the outlaws involved in street crimes.
Interior Minister and senior officials of Islamabad police hoped that the new force will be effective in curbing crimes in the capital city of Pakistan.

Police arrested three of four nominated suspects involved in the alleged rape of a schoolgirl at gunpoint.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Shalimar police station. Promptly responding to the complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, the police registered a case against the suspects and apprehended three of them.
Meanwhile, the authorities are actively conducting raids to arrest the suspect who is currently evading capture.
According to the FIR, when the victim arrived at the school gate, she encountered a boy named Aanish. They were acquaintances and friends. He convinced her to go with him, and eventually, they reached a house in Saniari on the outskirts of the city. At least three other boys were present at the location, identified in the FIR as Afad or Fadi, Hassan, and Junaid, who were Aanish’s friends.
It was reported that Afad Malik and Junaid perpetrated the rape, threatening the victim with a gun, while Anish and Hasan Shakeel also subjected her to sexual assault.
The police have stated that the investigation into the case is ongoing, as they continue their efforts to seek justice for the victim and hold all those involved accountable for their actions.
