ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has welcomed a court’s decision to punish the culprits of Dasu bus attack.
In a statement, the FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch termed the verdict as a demonstration of Pakistan’s abiding commitment to counterterrorism.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the investigation, prosecution, and judgment in Dasu bus attack case reflected Pakistan’s seriousness and commitment to the cause.
“We again extend our deepest condolences to the victims’ families and remain committed to the safety and security of Chinese workers, projects and institutions in Pakistan,” Balochi said.
The MoFA spokesperson added that the ironclad Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership will never be undermined by enemy forces.
In July 2021, nine Chinese workers and three Pakistanis, who were working on the Dasu hydropower project were killed in a suicide attack on a bus.
The bus was carrying Chinese workers. Pakistan had accused India of having involvement in the attack.
