Caretaker PM Kakar Lands in London Amid Speculations of Meeting with Sharifs

Meeting with Sharifs

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar arrived in London on Saturday amid reports of a possible meeting with the Sharif brothers, who are already in the city.

Videos showed multiple cars entering the Churchill Hyatt Regency hotel in London as reports emerged that Kakar had arrived in the city for ‘important’ meetings.

Sources said that Kakar was in London to meet Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif soon. Nawaz has been in London for almost four years, while Shehbaz recently flew back to London after a brief visit to Pakistan.

The reports added that the meeting could take place at a family dinner.

Sources reported that Malik Ahmad Khan, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, left the hotel where the PM is staying.

Overall, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar’s arrival in London and the possibility of a meeting with Sharifs have sparked considerable interest and speculation, with many eager to see how this development may impact Pakistan’s political landscape in the days to come.

PM Emphasizes Economic Stability As Foremost Government Priority

Moreover, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar emphasized that the government’s top priority is ensuring economic stability. In an interview with Newsweek, he highlighted the importance of a comprehensive economic revival plan currently in effect.

He stated that the caretaker government is deeply concerned about stability and is fully committed to monitoring and maintaining control over the situation.

In response to questions about the US’s attention in the South Asian region, Kakar stressed the significance of the region, which is home to a substantial population. He pointed out the potential conflicts in the area, including the Kashmir issue, which poses a threat due to its status as a nuclear flashpoint.
