Bollywood super-star Naseeruddin Shah seeks apology from Pakistani Sindhis
ISLAMABAD: Bollywood super-star Naseeruddin Shah sought an apology from Pakistani Sindhis.

“OK OK, I apologize to the entire Sindhi-speaking population of Pakistan who I seem to have deeply offended by my mistaken opinion. I admit I was ill-informed but is it necessary to crucify me for that? “Let him who is free from…” as Jesus said,” said the Indian actor.

Last week, Naseeruddin Shah asserted the Sindhi language is not spoken in Pakistan anymore.
When Naseeruddin Shah gave this statement, he found himself in trouble.
In a recent interview, Shah claimed, “They [Pakistan] have Balochi, they have Bari, they have Siraiki and they have Pushto. Sindhi is, of course, no longer spoken in Pakistan.”
However, his remarks about Sindhi did not sit well with Pakistanis because Sindhi is one of the widely spoken languages in Pakistan.
The Population of Sindh province is more than 55 million and millions of Sindhis speak their mother language _ Sindhi. It is believed that more or less 50 percent of people in Sindh speak their mother language. Their number could be more than 20 million, if not more.
Several social media users and influencers felt annoyed at Naseeruddin Shah for being ignorant of Sindhi including Pakistani actress Mansha Pasha.
