ISLAMABAD: Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Farid was critically injured in a shooting by armed assailants in the Chohar Sharif area of Haripur.
The attack occurred as the judge was entering a mosque, after which he was swiftly transferred to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.
According to police reports, the incident took place while Judge Farid was on his way to perform prayers. Law enforcement has launched a thorough investigation into the attack and registered a case against the suspects involved.
The Haripur district police officer confirmed that three out of the four suspects have been arrested. The arrested individuals have been identified as Ghayoor, Jahangir, and Shehbaz. The police are actively conducting raids to capture the fourth suspect, who is still at large.
This attack has sparked concerns about the safety of judicial officers, leading to a heightened security alert in the region. Authorities are working diligently to apprehend the remaining suspect and ensure the safety of the injured judge.

Iranian media reports that the bus overturned and caught fire near the Taftan-Dehshir checkpoint.
