Accountability Judge Muhammad Bashir’s Vehicle Caught in Aerial Firing Incident

Aerial Firing Incident

On Wednesday, an alarming incident unfolded as Accountability Judge Muhammad Bashir’s vehicle became entangled in an episode of aerial firing near Rahimabad Chowk.

The local police reported that Shayan Ali, a man traveling with his family, allegedly discharged his firearm into the air within the jurisdiction of the Airport Police Station. This occurrence took place as Judge Bashir was returning from a hearing on the Toshakhana case involving Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.

Fortunately, despite the close encounter, neither the judge nor his accompanying squad suffered any harm.

According to the official police statement, the unsettling incident stemmed from an argument involving Shayan Ali, who, in a heated dispute, exited the vehicle and fired shots into the air.

The police further disclosed that Shayan is believed to be an ice addict and was reportedly under the influence at the time of the incident. While the gunfire led to a temporary traffic jam, law enforcement acted swiftly, managing to apprehend Shayan Ali. Currently held at Police Station Airport, he is undergoing investigation as authorities seek to unravel the details surrounding this concerning event.

Imran Khan To Contest Elections From Multiple Constituencies Despite Incarceration

Meanwhile, Imran Khan, the imprisoned founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is set to participate in the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8, according to an announcement by his party.

PTI Senator Ali Zafar, speaking outside Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, stated that Imran Khan will run in at least three constituencies. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is expected to deliver its verdict on the Toshakhana case soon, following the election schedule announcement.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was disqualified by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for five years due to corrupt practices revealed in the Toshakhana case verdict on August 8, under Section 167 of the Elections Act, 2017.
