50m Pakistanis have received at least one Covid vaccine dose, says Asad Umar

Target of vaccinating 7 crore people, 5 crore people have now recieved atleast 1 dose. More than 2 crore fully vaccinated.

Pakistan has crossed target of 50 million people vaccination, for its total population of 220 million citizens.

NCOC and other government departments are in active state of providing people with greater facilitation in Covid jabs.

Asad Umar’s Tweet reads as: “In the early days of the vaccination campaign we had set a daunting target of vaccinating 7 crore people by the end of this year. Happy to report that 5 crore people have now recieved atleast 1 dose. More than 2 crore fully vaccinated. Inshallah will meet & surpass the target”.

Though overall situation is almost under control but the rates are still high and the death have also not reduced substantially. Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir have collectively reported 366 coronavirus cases and six deaths during the last 24 hours. Breakdown of deaths and cases reported during this period:

  • Islamabad: 254 cases, 5 deaths
  • AJK: 94 cases, 1 death
  • GB: 18 cases
