A foreign national involved in the Lahore gang-rape case has left Pakistan for Azerbaijan after an unexpected development at Lahore Airport.
The woman, identified as Diana, reportedly sought Rs25 million from the accused through investigating officers before leaving Pakistan. According to police sources, she said she would depart once the money was arranged.
Diana had been at Lahore Airport since the previous day. She reportedly reached the airport voluntarily and completed immigration before boarding her flight.
Diana Leaves Flight Shortly Before Takeoff
According to police sources, Diana boarded the aircraft after completing the immigration process. However, she reportedly left the plane shortly before takeoff.
She then allegedly approached investigating officers with a demand for money from the accused. The police reportedly declined to facilitate the demand.
Following the refusal, Diana allegedly recorded a video about the police and shared it publicly.
The development created uncertainty over her departure from Pakistan. However, arrangements were later made for her return to Azerbaijan.
Diana Departs for Baku With Police Officers
Diana eventually left Pakistan on a Pakistan International Airlines flight bound for Baku.
Three police officers accompanied her during the journey. The accompanying team included two female officers.
Her departure followed her earlier presence at Lahore Airport and the reported dispute over the alleged financial settlement.
