Lahore police have uncovered an alleged high-level drug supply network operating across several affluent areas of the city, including Defence, Gulberg, Model Town, Garden Town and Cavalry.
Police sources in the Crime Control Department (CCD) said suppliers allegedly transport drugs such as ice and weed from Islamabad to Lahore. Investigators have identified a suspected key supplier as Ahmed, also known as Peer Lala Khan, who reportedly lives in Islamabadโs E-11 area.
According to police sources, Ahmed allegedly supplies drugs exclusively in Lahore. However, CCD investigators and the Investigation Wing have so far failed to locate or arrest him.
Police Trace Suspected Islamabad Supplier
Sources said Ahmed allegedly maintains a strong network among drug sellers in Lahoreโs Model Town and Cantonment divisions. They claimed the network covers several wealthy neighbourhoods where drug sellers reportedly distribute supplies to customers.
Police sources also pointed to weak coordination between Lahore and Islamabad authorities. They said the lack of cooperation has complicated efforts to trace the suspected supplier.
Meanwhile, investigators are examining cases registered against alleged drug sellers. Police believe these investigations helped reveal the identities of suspected suppliers involved in the alleged distribution of ice and weed.
Drug Sellers Allegedly Divide Supply Areas
Sources claimed drug sellers have divided specific areas and even cities to manage their operations. Police compared the alleged arrangement with the case of a woman known as Pinky, who was reportedly involved in supplying drugs between Lahore and Karachi.
Similarly, investigators believe Ahmed operates from Islamabad while allegedly supplying drugs to Lahore dealers and customers. Police sources said he may have remained involved in the alleged trade for an extended period.
The investigation remains ongoing as police continue efforts to locate Ahmed. Authorities are also working to determine the full structure and reach of the alleged drug network.
