LAHORE: A sessions court in Lahore today granted interim pre-arrest bail to YouTuber Ali Hyderabadi until July 14. The court gave bail to YouTuber in a case over allegations of abusing his wife. The court also directed police not to arrest him before the next hearing.
Court Orders Accused to Join Investigation
An additional sessions judge approved the interim bail application after hearing arguments from the defence. Ali Hyderabadi’s lawyer, Rana Intezar, told the court that his client was prepared to cooperate with investigators but feared imminent arrest.
The defence requested protective relief to allow the accused to participate in the investigation without being taken into custody. Consequently, the court accepted the plea and instructed Ali Hyderabadi to join the investigation. It also restrained police from arresting him until July 14.
Police Continue Investigation
The case was registered at Sundar Police Station in Lahore following allegations that the YouTuber physically abused his wife. Police launched an investigation after the complaint was filed.
Meanwhile, videos and claims involving the couple circulated widely on social media, drawing significant public attention. As a result, the allegations sparked widespread debate and prompted calls for legal action.
The interim bail does not determine guilt or innocence. Instead, it provides temporary protection from arrest while the investigation continues. Police are expected to collect evidence and record statements before submitting their findings to the court.
The case will now proceed at the next hearing, where the court will consider further arguments and decide whether to extend the interim relief or issue additional directions based on the progress of the investigation.
