High-Level Talks Planned With Ishaq Dar
Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday for an official visit.
He is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
Additional Secretary for the Middle East Zahid Hussain received the Kuwaiti foreign minister at Islamabad International Airport.
The visit is expected to strengthen diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Kuwait.
Senior officials from both countries will participate in delegation-level talks during the visit.
Pakistan and Kuwait Seek Broader Cooperation
The talks will cover all major areas of bilateral relations.
Both sides will explore new opportunities to expand cooperation across different sectors.
Discussions are expected to focus on trade, investment, economic relations and people-to-people contacts.
Pakistan and Kuwait will also review opportunities for stronger institutional cooperation.
The Foreign Office said both countries were committed to deepening their partnership.
Officials are expected to identify practical measures for improving bilateral engagement.
Regional and Global Issues on the Agenda
The two sides will also discuss important regional and international developments.
They will exchange views on issues of shared interest and explore closer diplomatic coordination.
The Foreign Office described the visit as a reflection of longstanding relations between Pakistan and Kuwait.
It said the relationship was based on mutual trust, close friendship and strong historical ties.
Pakistan expressed confidence that the visit would create new opportunities for cooperation.
The talks are also expected to strengthen coordination between the two countries on regional and global platforms.
