The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has unanimously demanded the immediate transfer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital.
The resolution calls for medical treatment at the Islamabad hospital. It also seeks proper medical facilities and supervision by Khan’s personal doctors.
The resolution was presented in the provincial assembly on Monday. Government lawmaker Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani moved the resolution before the House.
KP Assembly Calls for Immediate Medical Treatment
According to the resolution, authorities should take all necessary steps regarding Imran Khan’s health without delay.
The House also expressed concern over the failure to transfer him to Shifa International Hospital.
The resolution further called for Khan’s immediate transfer to the hospital. It demanded treatment under the supervision of his personal doctors.
The move aims to ensure that the PTI founder receives appropriate medical facilities and necessary treatment.
Resolution Receives Unanimous Support
After Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani presented the resolution, the speaker put it before the House for voting.
All members supported the resolution. Consequently, the KP Assembly adopted the motion unanimously.
The unanimous decision highlights the provincial assembly’s demand for immediate action concerning Imran Khan’s medical care.
Dispute Continues Over Imran Khan’s Medical Care
The resolution comes amid continuing differences between the government and PTI.
The disagreement concerns Imran Khan’s medical examination and his proposed transfer to Shifa International Hospital.
PTI has sought his transfer to the hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the latest resolution has added the KP Assembly’s formal demand for immediate action.
The House also called for implementation of relevant court orders concerning the PTI founder’s medical treatment and hospital transfer.
Through the resolution, the KP Assembly has urged authorities to act without further delay. It has also stressed the need to provide Khan with proper medical care and access to necessary treatment.
