Police have arrested five suspects allegedly linked to the murder of businessman Mumtaz Rajpar during an intelligence-based operation in Khairpur.
The targeted operation took place within the jurisdiction of Kot Lalu Police Station on the directives of Khairpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amir Saud Magsi. Police teams targeted the suspected hideouts of the accused and their alleged facilitators during the operation.

Authorities deployed armoured vehicles, heavy vehicles and modern technology to support the operation.
Special teams from the Mir Wah sub-division and Kot Diji also took part in the action.
During the operation, police demolished the hideouts allegedly used by the suspects and their facilitators. The arrests mark a significant development in the investigation into Rajpar’s murder. However, authorities are continuing efforts to gather further information about the suspects and their alleged roles.
SSP Khairpur Vows Strict Action
SSP Amir Saud Magsi said police would continue taking strict action against criminals and those who assist them. He warned that all suspects involved in criminal activities would have to face the law. The SSP also directed police teams to maintain pressure on criminal elements operating in the district.
Meanwhile, the ongoing operation against criminals and their facilitators will continue without interruption. Police are expected to conduct further investigations following the arrests. The authorities will also examine whether the detained suspects have links to other criminal activities in the area.
