A man sustained severe injuries during an alleged blade attack at a house in Kasur’s Gulberg Colony, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident.
According to police, the injured man was identified as 36-year-old Shahid, a resident of Chungi Amar Sidhu in Lahore. He was initially provided first aid before being shifted to Bullhe Shah Hospital for further medical treatment.
Authorities have started legal proceedings, while investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the case.
Incident Reported at a House in Gulberg Colony
Police said the incident occurred on Tuesday night at a residence in Gulberg Colony, Kasur.
According to the initial investigation, Shahid had allegedly been involved in an extramarital relationship with a woman identified as Asia Bibi for nearly one and a half years.
Police alleged that Asia Bibi invited Shahid to her house on the night of the incident.
However, an argument reportedly broke out between the two shortly after his arrival.

According to police, the dispute turned violent during the altercation. Investigators allege that Asia Bibi attacked Shahid with a blade, leaving him with severe injuries.
Emergency responders later provided first aid before transferring him to Bullhe Shah Hospital for specialised medical treatment.
Doctors are continuing his treatment, while police are awaiting further medical updates as part of the investigation.
Husband Also Allegedly Involved
Police further stated that Asia Bibi’s husband, Aslam, arrived at the house shortly after the alleged attack.
According to investigators, the couple then allegedly assaulted Shahid before handing him over to the police.
Authorities have not released further details regarding possible charges, as the investigation remains ongoing.
