Karachi University to Receive 10 More Buses
Speaking at the event, Hafiz Naeem announced plans to provide another 10 buses next year.
He highlighted the university’s serious transportation problems, saying approximately 30,000 students lack adequate transport facilities.
The JI leader recalled that Karachi University previously operated 125 buses when student unions were active.
He stressed that students deserve reliable transportation and better educational facilities.
JI Calls for Restoration of Student Unions
Hafiz Naeem also demanded the immediate restoration of student unions in educational institutions.
He argued that student representation plays an important role in improving university administration and protecting students’ rights.
Student unions have faced restrictions across Pakistan since 1984.
Meanwhile, Karachi University’s law students have approached the Sindh High Court seeking the restoration of student unions.
JI Criticizes Sindh Government Over Public Services
Hafiz Naeem criticized the Sindh government over poor governance and inadequate public facilities.
He claimed that nine JI-led town administrations had delivered results despite limited authority and resources.
He also expressed concern over the declining condition of university departments.
Furthermore, he announced plans to launch a nationwide education campaign.
The bus donation represents an effort to improve student mobility and address transportation challenges at one of Pakistan’s largest public universities.
