K-Electric has announced scheduled maintenance shutdowns across several areas of Karachi on September 3, 2026. The temporary interruptions will affect electricity supply to selected areas and feeders during specified timings.
The utility company has planned the shutdowns to carry out maintenance work on its power distribution system. Therefore, residents and consumers in the affected locations have been advised to make necessary arrangements.
The scheduled interruption forms part of routine maintenance aimed at improving the reliability of Karachi’s power distribution network.
Areas Affected by the September 3 Shutdown
The maintenance schedule includes several locations across Karachi. These areas include Pole-12 Sector 12-D, 51-C Area, Al-Najeeb, Army Flat and Asma Begum RMU.
Other affected locations include Assistant Director Electrical Housing, Bajwa House RMU, Coast Guard, Combined Military Hospital, Creek Club and Dental College. Meanwhile, Dubai Mall 2000 RMU, Grand City, Gulbahar, Haroon Sons and Hassan Cold are also included.
The list further includes Institute of Bankers, Iqra Complex, Jiwani Heights and Kashan-e-Ital RMU. Residents in these areas should therefore prepare for the temporary interruption during the scheduled maintenance period.
More Karachi Areas Included in the Schedule
Several other locations will also experience temporary power interruptions. These include KDA Water Pump, Kh-e-Rahat Park S/S, Latif Jute, Lubna Farm and Madras Society.
The schedule also covers Masjid-e-Quba, Model Colony ‘A’, Muneeb Kamil (Custom Society), Naseem Textile and Olympic Pride. Additionally, Phoenix Hight, Rafi Premier Residency, Saba Cinema and Sallu Garden are among the affected locations.
Other areas listed by K-Electric include Sehar Palace, Shamsi Garment, Sheerani Ice, Sterling Plywood, Suparco and Usman Hospital.
K-Electric Advises Consumers to Prepare
K-Electric has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements before the scheduled shutdowns. The interruptions will remain temporary and will occur during the timings specified in the maintenance schedule.
According to the utility company, the work is part of routine maintenance for the electricity distribution system. The maintenance is intended to support the reliability and improvement of the network.
