Karachi police have arrested Kamran Murad, the brother of alleged drug dealer Anmol, also known as Pinky Don, during a narcotics operation. Officers recovered hashish and crystal meth from the suspect, according to police.
Police Recover Hashish And Crystal Meth
Jamshed Quarters Police conducted the operation and arrested Kamran Murad on Sunday. During the raid, officers recovered two kilograms of hashish and half a kilogram of crystal meth, commonly known as ice.
Police said the suspect was taken into custody following the recovery. Furthermore, authorities confirmed that legal proceedings against him are underway.
Officials have not released additional details about the investigation. However, police said they are continuing inquiries into the alleged narcotics network.
Court Proceedings Continue Against Anmol
The latest arrest comes as court proceedings continue against Anmol in multiple drug-related cases. Earlier this month, a Karachi court provided her with charge sheets and witness statements in six separate cases.
According to jail authorities, Anmol remained a proclaimed absconder in those cases for six years. Consequently, officials served the legal documents in prison before the hearing was adjourned for two weeks.
Police said the six cases were registered between 2020 and 2022. They added that Anmol was arrested on May 12 after previously evading law enforcement.
Investigators also detained three alleged facilitators identified as Zeeshan, Sohail, and Sameer. Meanwhile, police said seven other suspects remain absconding.
Authorities identified the wanted suspects as Fayyaz, Aqib, Hamza, Aijaz, Zaid, Sabira, and Anna. Police said efforts continue to locate the remaining individuals and investigate the alleged drug trafficking network.
