Contact Lost After Fayyaz Ahmed Leaves Office
A National Database and Registration Authority employee has gone missing after leaving his workplace in Karachi.
The missing official has been identified as Fayyaz Ahmed. He is the son of senior journalist and human rights activist Sohail Sangi.
According to his family, Fayyaz left his office at around 6pm on Monday. He was expected to return home but never arrived.
Family members attempted to contact him after he failed to return. However, his mobile phone remained switched off.
No communication has been received from Fayyaz since his disappearance. His current location and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unknown.
The sudden loss of contact has caused serious concern among his relatives, colleagues and members of the journalist community.
As of the latest reports, authorities had not publicly confirmed where Fayyaz was last seen after leaving his office. No information was available about whether he travelled alone or met anyone before disappearing.
Family Approaches Senior Sindh Police Officials
The family has contacted senior police authorities and requested immediate action to locate Fayyaz.
The matter was brought to the attention of the Sindh Inspector General of Police.
The relevant Deputy Inspector General and Senior Superintendent of Police were also informed about the disappearance.
The family submitted a written complaint to the authorities. They asked police to trace Fayyaz’s movements and ensure his safe recovery.

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the disappearance.
In its statement, the commission identified Fayyaz as the son of HRCP Council member Sohail Sangi.
The rights organisation urged the Sindh government to intensify efforts to locate him.
It also called on the authorities to ensure his immediate and safe recovery.
The commission’s intervention brought wider attention to the case and increased pressure on provincial authorities to provide information about the search.
Sohail Sangi is a senior journalist and human rights advocate who has remained associated with discussions on civil liberties and enforced disappearances in Pakistan.
However, there is currently no verified evidence establishing that Fayyaz’s disappearance is an enforced disappearance.
Authorities have not publicly announced the cause of his disappearance or identified any suspects.
