Pakistan and Uzbekistan have rekindled their relations by moving a step closer in their economic partnership. K2 Airways officially launched its dedicated cargo service. This move signals a significant expansion for the company, which first secured its government charter license back in 2018.
Boosting Regional Logistics and Trade
The introduction of this cargo route comes at a time when regional trade demand is rising. Since the aircraft offers specialized shipping capabilities, it allows exporters to move products more efficiently across the border. Furthermore, this development supports the broader goal of turning Pakistan into a central hub for Central Asian commerce. Industry experts believe that consistent air freight options will encourage local manufacturers to explore new markets in Uzbekistan.
Expanding Passenger and Commercial Horizons
However, outside the scope of the logistics industry, the skies over these nations continue to get more diversified. As K2 Airways concentrates on air freight, Centrum Air has established passenger service between Lahore and Tashkent. The service, launched at the end of April, is carried out twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Through collaborations with local organizations for selling tickets, the Uzbek carrier makes sure that customers can easily use the new flight connections. With these initiatives working in tandem, there is an air transportation network that works to the advantage of tourists and business people alike.
