AMMAN: Jordan has summoned Iran’s envoy following what Jordanian authorities described as repeated hostile actions against the kingdom, signalling a sharp escalation in diplomatic tensions between the two countries.
According to reports, Jordan warned that recent developments had crossed a “red line” and stressed that any further actions threatening the kingdom’s security or sovereignty would be viewed with serious concern. Meanwhile, Iranian officials had not immediately issued a public response to Jordan’s reported decision to summon its envoy.
