Jemima Goldsmith has shared the joyful moments of her recent wedding with Cameron O’Reilly. Cameron is an Irish-Australian businessman. Jamima and Cameron O’Reilly organized a private party to celebrate their wedding.
Jemima, 52, married 62-year-old O’Reilly, who is the son of late Irish businessman, media tycoon and rugby player Sir Anthony O’Reilly. The couple dated for around a year after meeting through their work on films and documentaries.
Wedding celebrations remain private
Goldsmith’s sister-in-law Jemima Jones was among the first relatives to share news of the wedding online. Jones, who is married to Goldsmith’s brother Ben, posted a photograph of the couple dressed for the celebrations. She captioned the image with a message celebrating the wedding and described the occasion as a happy day.
The marriage marks Goldsmith’s second wedding, coming 22 years after her nine-year marriage to former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan ended.
Goldsmith and Khan married in 1995 and divorced in 2004. They share two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim Khan.
Goldsmith maintains Pakistan connection
Despite their divorce, Goldsmith has remained publicly vocal about Khan’s imprisonment and treatment in Pakistan. Last month, she urged the British government to speak out and described his detention as a human rights emergency. She also raised concerns about his health, isolation and access to family members.
Furthermore, Goldsmith attended a Pakistan-England Test at Lord’s with her sons as they publicly campaigned for Khan’s release.
Goldsmith has retained a strong connection with Pakistan since living there with Khan.
In a previous Geo News interview, she discussed her experiences in Pakistan and her affection for its people and culture. She also spoke about making a romantic comedy that celebrates the Pakistan she knew.
