Nexgen Auto Pvt. Ltd. has significantly increased the prices of its two Jaecoo J5 variants in Pakistan.
The price revision comes after the government increased the sales tax on hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) to 25%.
According to Nexgen Auto’s latest circular, the revised prices are effective following the implementation of the new tax rate from July 1, 2026.
Jaecoo J5 Price Increased by Rs1.1 Million
The Jaecoo J5 Comfort has received a major price increase of Rs1.1 million.
Its previous price was Rs6,699,000. It will now be available for Rs7,799,000.
The Jaecoo J5 Premium has also become Rs1.1 million more expensive.
The variant previously cost Rs7,699,000. Its new price stands at Rs8,799,000.
The latest revision represents a significant increase for buyers considering either J5 variant.

Jaecoo J7 Premium Price Remains Unchanged
Despite the increase affecting both J5 variants, Nexgen has kept the price of the Jaecoo J7 Premium unchanged.
The Jaecoo J7 Premium continues to be priced at Rs10,499,000.
Nexgen stated that the revised J5 prices are linked to the 25% sales tax applicable to HEVs and PHEVs from July 1, 2026.
The company did not announce any additional changes to the J7 Premium’s pricing in the latest circular.
Other Hybrid Vehicles Also Become More Expensive
Jaecoo’s price increase comes amid similar price revisions across Pakistan’s automotive market.
Indus Motor Company recently increased the prices of two Toyota Corolla Cross HEV variants.
The increases for those variants stood at Rs1.364 million and Rs1.314 million, respectively.
Honda Atlas Cars Limited also raised the price of its HR-V e:HEV by Rs1.37 million.
The latest revisions indicate that the higher sales tax on hybrid vehicles is translating into substantial price increases for consumers.
For prospective Jaecoo buyers, the new pricing means both J5 variants now cost Rs1.1 million more than their previous prices.
