ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for commuters traveling between Islamabad and Rawalpindi amid the movement of foreign delegations.
According to the advisory, authorities will impose traffic diversions at different intervals on several major roads.
These include Murree Road, Club Road, Express Highway, and Jinnah Avenue towards Khayaban Chowk. Authorities will also impose diversions on Garden Avenue.
Therefore, traffic police have suggested alternative routes to help commuters avoid delays and reach their destinations smoothly.
Alternative Routes Announced for Commuters
If authorities divert traffic from Murree Road and Express Highway, commuters should use Srinagar Highway, IJP Road, and Ninth Avenue.
Meanwhile, motorists facing diversions on Jinnah Avenue can use Margalla Road and Seventh Avenue as alternative routes.
Similarly, citizens affected by diversions on Garden Avenue can travel through Srinagar Highway.
The traffic police have advised commuters to plan their journeys according to the expected diversions.
Moreover, officials have asked citizens to leave their homes 15 to 20 minutes earlier than usual to avoid inconvenience.
Islamabad Traffic Police officers will remain deployed along major roads to guide motorists and facilitate the smooth movement of traffic.
