ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police have stepped up action against illegal parking and footpath encroachments across the federal capital. The campaign aims to improve traffic movement and make roads safer for motorists and pedestrians.
The crackdown follows directions from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. Traffic officials are focusing on commercial centres, shopping malls, local markets and major roads where unauthorized parking often creates congestion.

Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan has directed all zonal Deputy Superintendents of Police to enforce traffic laws strictly. She instructed officers to take action against violations that disrupt traffic discipline. Khan also urged motorists to use designated parking spaces instead of leaving vehicles along busy roads.
