ISLAMABAD: Islamabad administration has revealed the opening date of the T-Chowk. The Construction on the T-Chowk Flyover in Islamabad has reached an advanced stage, with 60 percent of the work completed, officials confirmed. The project is expected to open for traffic early next month, significantly improving connectivity between GT Road and the federal capital.
Minister Reviews Progress and Quality of Work
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the construction site to review progress and inspect ongoing activities. He expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of the work and directed officials to uphold strict construction standards throughout the remaining phase.
Naqvi emphasized that the project must be completed without delays or compromises. “There will be no compromise on quality or speed,” he stated. He added that once operational, the flyover will allow commuters from GT Road to enter Islamabad without stopping at traffic signals, thereby reducing congestion on key entry routes.
Boost to Urban Connectivity and Traffic Flow
The T-Chowk Flyover is one of Islamabad’s most important infrastructure projects, designed to streamline traffic movement between the twin cities and neighboring regions. Officials noted that the project will shorten travel time for thousands of daily commuters and ease bottlenecks at one of the busiest junctions in the area.
Authorities remain confident that the project will be completed within the set timeline, marking a major step toward improving Islamabad’s road network and urban mobility.
