Inter-Services Intelligence chief Lt Gen Muhammad Asim Malik held an important meeting with Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Both discussed bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain.
The meeting took place at the official royal residence, Riffa Palace.
The crown prince, who also commands Bahrain’s armed forces, highlighted the strong relationship between Bahrain and Pakistan.
He stressed the importance of strengthening coordination across various sectors to promote mutual prosperity and shared interests.
Moreover, the two officials discussed the latest regional and international developments and matters of mutual interest.
Bahrain Highlights Pakistan’s Regional Role
The Bahraini crown prince praised Pakistan’s critical role alongside its allies in strengthening regional security and stability.
Meanwhile, Lt Gen Asim Malik thanked the crown prince for supporting efforts to deepen bilateral relations.
He also wished Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
Senior Bahraini officials, including the minister of the prime minister’s court and finance minister, attended the meeting.
Earlier, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani spoke with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar about bilateral relations.
During the call, Al Zayani congratulated Pakistan on signing the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement and expressed plans to visit Pakistan.
Earlier, Bahrain’s National Guard commander General Shaikh Mohammad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa met a crucial meeting with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in June and discussed bilateral military cooperation.
