Honda may be preparing to introduce the 7th-generation City in Pakistan, potentially ending a five-year wait for a major update to its popular sedan lineup.
The new model is expected to make its first appearance at the Pakistan Auto Parts Show (PAPS) this year. Honda has not yet officially confirmed the launch.
PAPS Teaser Fuels New Honda City Speculation
Speculation began after the official Pakistan Auto Show Facebook page shared a teaser showing what appears to be the upcoming Honda City.
The teaser did not reveal the vehicle’s name or manufacturer. However, its design has led to speculation that it could be the 7th-generation City.
Honda has yet to confirm whether the vehicle will only be displayed at the event or whether bookings will also open.
The current 6th-generation Honda City has been sold in Pakistan since 2021. The 7th-generation model was originally introduced internationally in 2019 and has since received updates in markets including India and Thailand.
What Could the New City Offer?
The international version is based on Honda’s GN platform and is available in sedan and hatchback versions.
The sedan is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine producing around 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. Depending on the market, it is offered with manual and CVT transmission options.
Higher-spec international variants can include a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera and Honda Sensing safety features.
However, the Pakistani version could receive different specifications. Local models often have fewer features to keep prices competitive.
Launch Date, Price and Bookings Still Unconfirmed
Honda has not announced the Pakistani price, final specifications or booking schedule for the new City.
If the vehicle is officially introduced, it could represent one of the biggest updates to Honda’s local sedan lineup in years.
For now, all eyes are on PAPS, where Honda could reveal whether the highly anticipated 7th-generation City is finally coming to Pakistan.
