Pakistan has invited one of China’s leading engineering companies to explore investment opportunities in transport and infrastructure projects as both countries seek to deepen cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The latest discussions focused on improving maritime connectivity, railway electrification, port logistics, and smart transportation systems. Both sides also agreed to strengthen institutional coordination to advance strategic infrastructure projects that support Pakistan’s long-term economic growth.
The development came during an official visit to China by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, who met Li Lei, Vice President of China Railway Electrification Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (EEB), in Beijing.

During the meeting, both sides explored new opportunities to expand cooperation across several major sectors.
