Statement targets several Middle Eastern countries amid heightened regional tensions
TEHRAN: A media operations centre affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Friday published a statement urging citizens and residents in several Middle Eastern countries to avoid locations associated with United States military personnel and facilities.
The statement, which has not been independently verified, was addressed to people in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Syria. It advised the public to stay away from military and security installations, areas where US forces are deployed, and locations experiencing heightened military activity or exceptional security measures.
The warning was released as tensions across the region remain elevated following recent military developments involving Iran and the United States.
Message references sites linked to US interests
According to the statement, people should avoid approaching locations allegedly used by US military personnel and maintain a significant distance from areas connected to American operations. The message also referred to various civilian locations and commercial properties that it claimed were associated with US interests.
The statement did not provide evidence to support its assertions or identify any specific or imminent threat. At the time of publication, US officials had not publicly responded to the message.
Regional security concerns remain high
The release comes amid continuing uncertainty across the Middle East, where governments have increased security measures in response to ongoing military and diplomatic tensions.
Authorities in the countries named in the statement had not immediately issued public comments regarding the warning. Likewise, there was no official confirmation from independent sources that any specific locations faced an immediate risk.
Security analysts note that official statements issued during periods of heightened regional tension often form part of broader strategic messaging by governments and military organisations. They also emphasise that threat-related claims should be assessed alongside official guidance from local authorities.
Residents and travellers are generally advised to follow instructions issued by their national governments and local security agencies and to rely on verified official information regarding public safety and security developments.
