PESHAWAR: Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsood has added another Guinness World Record to his impressive collection of international achievements. Mehsood completed 38 full-extension one-hand punches in one minute while carrying a 10-kilogram weight. His performance surpassed the official target of 30 punches required for the record.
According to his Guinness World Records certificate, Mehsood achieved the feat in Dera Ismail Khan on March 19, 2026.
Mehsood Surpasses Guinness Record Target
Speaking about his latest achievement, Mehsood said Guinness World Records had set the target at 30 punches.
He successfully exceeded the benchmark by completing 38 punches within the one-minute timeframe. Consequently, the performance earned him another place in the record books.
The latest accomplishment adds to Mehsoodโs extensive record in strength and fitness disciplines. He has already established 70 world records in the push-ups category.
According to Mehsood, this represents the highest number of global records in that discipline. He has also achieved records while performing exercises with weights of 100, 80, 60, and 40 pounds.
Pakistani Athlete Holds Records Across Multiple Disciplines
Mehsoodโs achievements extend well beyond one category. His records cover several strength, endurance, and fitness challenges.
These include push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, step-ups, knee strikes, elbow strikes, side jumps, high jumps, and star jumps.
Furthermore, the Pakistani athlete has broken records previously held by competitors from more than 20 countries. These include athletes from the United States, India, and Germany.
His latest record therefore adds to a career built around challenging existing benchmarks and testing the limits of physical endurance.
Mehsood Inspires Young Athletes
Beyond his own achievements, Mehsood has also helped develop young talent in Pakistan. Around 20 of his students have gone on to establish Guinness World Records.
Their accomplishments highlight the influence of his training and experience on the next generation of athletes.
