Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni visited the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad during his official visit to Pakistan on Tuesday.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry accompanied the visiting minister throughout the visit. The visit formed part of the Iranian minister’s official engagements in the country.
Upon his arrival, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) presented a guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
The ceremony reflected the significance of the official visit and highlighted the cordial ties between Pakistan and Iran.
Floral Wreath Laid at Martyrs’ Memorial
During the visit, Eskandar Momeni paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs by visiting the martyrs’ memorial.
He offered fateha and laid a floral wreath at the monument to honour those who sacrificed their lives for the country. The tribute marked one of the key moments of his visit to the Pakistan Monument.
Meanwhile, officials briefed the Iranian interior minister on the history, significance, and national importance of the Pakistan Monument.
Minister Appreciates Historical Importance of the Monument
Following the briefing, Eskandar Momeni praised the historical importance of the martyrs’ monument. The visit also included a tour of other prominent locations in the federal capital.
Later, the Iranian interior minister visited Shakar Parian and the Margalla Hills during his stay in Islamabad.

Senior Officials Attend the Ceremony
Several senior officials attended the visit alongside the Pakistani and Iranian delegations. Inspector General of the Frontier Constabulary Riaz Nazir Gara was present on the occasion.
Deputy Inspector General Islamabad and other senior officials also attended the ceremony.
The visit concluded after the Iranian interior minister completed his tour of the Pakistan Monument and other landmarks in Islamabad.
