
The Iranian Foreign Minister completed his diplomatic mission to Pakistan and Oman over the weekend, after which he returned to Tehran. In an announcement by the state press agency, it was revealed that the last phase of the visit was aimed at reinforcing their relationship and solving regional security issues. At this important juncture, both countries are striving to achieve stability along their common border and engage in business activities amid global constraints. Thus, there was a collective determination to uphold tranquility and prosperity in this region.
Strengthening Regional Ties and Economic Cooperation
In all discussions in Islamabad, both delegations went through the implementation process of agreements regarding border management and counterterrorism measures. In particular, the Iranians paid special attention to the need to build a gas pipeline and find opportunities for expanding electricity supply to Pakistan. Moreover, they talked about the current humanitarian crisis in the Middle East and agreed upon their joint statements in international organizations.
Final Consultations Held in Muscat Before Departure
Before leaving for home, the minister made a stopover in Muscat to meet with the Omani government to discuss issues of maritime security and mediation. The two sides shared their views concerning the maritime routes of transportation and safe passage of cargo ships in the Persian Gulf.
